About North Bali Reef Conservation
Tianyar is a village in North Bali, Indonesia, and its coral reef needs your help!
After decades of reef degradation, large parts of the reef have been left totally barren with no chance for the coral to recover naturally. These bare sand gaps between the healthy reefs offer no shelter for reef fish and are almost devoid of any marine life.
To restore the biodiverse ecosystem that once existed in this now degraded area, we will need tens of thousands of artificial reef structures. To help meet this restoration goal, we offer an artificial reef sponsorship program which is supported by The Coral Centre, who are helping us to receive more donations and restore a greater area of coral reef.
The programme
This programme allows sponsors to design and personalise their own structure with their name, the name of a loved one, or even the name of a business.
We think that sponsoring an artificial reef structure on behalf of someone else would be a fantastic gift for special occasions.
A vital habitat, forever
Each structure deployed will forever rest in the warm, tropical shallows of North Bali, providing vital habitat for coral and reef fish, and a hard substrate for a coral to grow on.
All sponsors will receive an e-certificate of sponsorship and a photograph of your structure.
